The first bezahl.de akademie event brought together selected speakers and partners from the bezahl.de network on March 31, 2022 to exchange views on the digital future and process optimization in the automotive industry. Numerous experts shared their approaches to digitization and personal recommendations for the automotive trade in front of a fully booked audience. The event was moderated by Julia Riethmüller, who is not only known in the industry as a member of the management and sales manager of the BERESA Group, but above all for her successful coaching and many years of experience in the areas of marketing and change management. The exclusive series of events can look forward to an all-round successful start: the consistently positive feedback from the participants fuels anticipation of planned follow-up events.

An event all about the digital transformation in the automotive trade

At the start of the new series of events, partners from bezahl.de were brought together and networked with one another for the first time. In addition to snacks and networking, the focus of the event was primarily on the informative contributions of selected experts and partners. In particular, the digital transformation in the automotive trade received the special attention of the speakers.

Alexander Sauer-Wagner, Managing Director of the VW and Audi Partner Association, kicked things off. In his introductory speech, he explained to the participants how the car dealership business model is changing from the perspective of the association and what challenges the industry is facing, in particular from new players on the market.

The automotive trade, like all other sectors, is subject to digital change, which is why it is important to recognize the "signs of the times" at an early stage.

The challenges of electromobility and the individual approach to digitizing company processes were discussed in person. Rare insights into the internal digitization concepts and modernization measures of the participants brought a special added value. The atmosphere of partnership inspired those present, contrary to all industry habits, to chat about the inside and to provide valuable insights into their work processes.

Daniel Hennig (Herbrand GmbH), Derek Finke (freelance consultant), Christian Schacht (Autohaus Adelbert Moll GmbH & Co KG) and Ralf Brandenburg (Hans Brandenburg GmbH) presented their digital projects and strategies for optimizing their processes. Afterwards, these were actively discussed with the participation of the audience and tips and experiences were exchanged. In addition to two forums, Koch Automobile AG, Zukunftswerkstatt 4.0 and the e-mobilio consulting platform presented their strategies for the digital transformation of the automotive trade. In this way, the audience was able to gain various insights into the solution approaches of the respective partners and get a comprehensive impression of the current developments.

Koch Automobile bridges the gap between online and offline sales

In its informative presentation, Koch Automobile AG, based in the Berlin-Brandenburg region, presented in particular the successful implementation of bezahl.de software in its online shop. Trends such as electrification, autonomous driving and online sales play a key role in the car dealership group's business. By integrating an online shop on the company website “autoskauftmanbeikoch.de”, Koch AG managed to bridge the gap between online and offline sales. In addition to being present in 21 branches at 8 locations, the service provider, in cooperation with bezahl.de, now also offers its services and products online, regardless of location. Shop features such as online registration or financing options with a fully digital application process pave the way to the digital future of the car dealership founded in 1993. A customer account offers maximum transparency about orders made, planned functions such as watch lists and comparison functions should further round off the offer. In this way, in combination with bezahl.de, Koch AG is able to pick up its digitally savvy customers and keep up with the times.

The future workshop 4.0 offers space for visions and creative minds

The future workshop is an initiative of the IfA (Institute for the Automotive Industry) and the DAT and creates an "innovation window" into the workshop of the future. With the help of the future workshop, concepts and spatial implementation can be tested along the customer journey in the sales and after-sales area. The project, located in Esslingen am Neckar, is scheduled to run for 19 months and has 105 cooperation partners and over 700,000 euros in funding. The flexibly designed room concept makes it possible to realize a wide variety of events such as training and further education, company training or event platforms. Using flexibly designed multi-touch tables, conceptual content can be read in the innovation radar, and numerous practical application options round off the concept. The Future Workshop 4.0 thus offers an interactive contact point to gather inspiration, formulate visions and network with other creative minds.

360-degree consultation for electric mobility: E-mobilio makes the new market accessible

The subject of electromobility is becoming increasingly important. While this development holds promising opportunities for the automotive trade, it also poses new challenges for the industry: the purchase of an electric vehicle is very complex and individual, the technological leap means that there is a greater need for advice.
