Now new in the service process of bezahl.de: Automated receivables management

The Cologne-based FinTech startup bezahl.de has expanded its range of services in response to market demand with intelligent receivables management and will thus offer car dealers a holistic solution for the service and workshop area in the future. The payment management platform promises a modern way of payment in the service business and at the same time digitizes all relevant process steps from the payment request to the payment to the dunning and collection process.

In the automotive trade, manual payment and administration processes are not uncommon. For years now, customers in online retail have been making it as easy as possible to pay digitally with a click. Due to the large number of invoice customers, the workshop and service area in particular is characterized by time-consuming manual work processes such as the manual processing of open item lists and follow-up by telephone. bezahl.de has set itself the task of optimizing these processes and, in close cooperation with the car trade, has created a holistic solution for car service. The central goal: to replace analogue cash registers, including queues and cash, as well as open item management in the back office, with a fully automated and highly efficient process.

" The automated receivables management from bezahl.de should make our service process more efficient in the future by relieving our employees of the manual effort involved in the dunning and collection process. We expect a significantly faster and more cost-effective process in the administration of open items as well as savings in printing and postage costs in dunning," says Michael Webels, Managing Director of Hülpert Shared Service GmbH.

The Hülpert Group has been working with the Cologne start-up in the sale of new and used cars since mid-2020 and has now entered into a development partnership for the new bezahl.de product "Automated Accounts Receivable Management".

Automated receivables management

The fully automated receivables management represents an important building block in the digital process chain. With the product feature, bezahl.de optimizes the previous dunning process and the associated administrative effort in the car dealership.

How does the new product work?

If a customer exceeds the payment deadline of an invoice, after an initial friendly payment reminder, up to two commercial reminders are automatically created and sent in an individual rhythm by e-mail or post. Manual intervention to cancel or pause a reminder is possible throughout the entire process, giving the merchant control over the reminder run at all times. However, reminders no longer have to be triggered proactively, but can be paused as required. If the customer then pays his bill, the incoming money is automatically assigned to the open items and posted to other systems. Optionally, automated data transmission to a renowned debt collection service provider is also offered.

The added value for your business

  • Payment process from a single source: from on-site payment to dunning

  • Huge time and cost savings in the internal back office processes

  • Faster clearing of open items through a standardized process

  • Automated allocation of all incoming payments (also on the house bank)

  • Live dashboard of the open items, e.g. filterable by periods, amounts, locations, dunning level, service advisors

  • Saving of printing and postage costs as well as manual dunning process

If you would also like to benefit from the most modern service process in Germany, the bezahl.de team is always at your disposal for a product presentation!
