The platform for digital payment management bezahl.de has revolutionized sales and accounting processes in the car trade. On September 10th and 11th, 2019, the development team from NX Technologies will be present at the Mercedes-Benz 24-hour hackathon.

High demands on startups and developers
The possibilities of digital transformation are greater than ever in the automotive industry - and bezahl.de is at the forefront as an innovative platform for digital payment management. The team of the two founders Lasse Diener and Ulrich Schmidt has been at the forefront since 2018 in breaking up and revolutionizing manual processes related to sales and payment processing in the automotive trade. Almost at the same time as the bezahl.de brand relaunch, the development team received an invitation from Daimler to take part in the hackathon at the IAA. It is about the development of an innovative app as part of the Mercedes-Benz Mobile SDK (Software Development Kit), in which driver and vehicle data are to be intelligently combined and made usable.

If Mercedes-Benz is about the heart of driving - car and driver, then bezahl.de is about the heart of trading: everything to do with the payment request, through processing to booking. Internal processes related to payment in the dealership are automated and centralized through innovative technologies. A resulting 0 error rate and real-time transparency in payment allocation saves 70% of the manual effort in accounting. The developers from NX Technologies not only successfully convince the market with bezahl.de, but also want to show that they can absolutely withstand the requirements of the jury at the hackathon.
The jury's criteria - and the performance of bezahl.de Innovation & Benefits: How radical and disruptive is the idea of the application?
bezahl.de revolutionizes payment management in the automotive trade by mapping a process from digital customer contact, customer-oriented payment to real-time transparency via a fully automated assignment process. Old-fashioned communication methods, cash payments and a lack of transparency about inefficient additional expenses are a thing of the past with bezahl.de.
Design & Functionality: How does the application deliver what it is supposed to do?
The NX Technologies team laid the cornerstone of its success story in 2015 with the first digital payment method for private car purchases. This made it possible to pay for cars by smartphone instead of cash when handing them over. In doing so, they already received the “Golden Transaction” award in 2018. Due to high demand from the automotive trade, the team focused on developing a B2B solution. bezahl.de is easy to integrate and use in its application for car dealers as well as for car buyers who do not need to register.
Sustainability: Does this application contain aspects of sustainability?
bezahl.de not only permanently changes the payment processes within a car dealership. The platform for payment management is also working towards expanding the processes, e.g. to service and the workshop. By focusing on one industry and cooperating with leading car dealer groups, bezahl.de is extremely precisely tailored to the needs of car dealers.
Product Scalability: Is the application scalable?
bezahl.de is particularly suitable for trading groups, since one company or trading house acts as a pilot and the system can then be rolled out smoothly to all other companies with one click. The product is maximally scalable because it can be used for countless industries with the same logic and function. In addition, unlike its competitors, it is based on a business model that includes a fixed amount plus low, fixed transaction costs per payment transaction. bezahl.de does even more: scalability in combination with maximum personalization. From the created system, individual solutions can be integrated and implemented with little effort.
Business model: How can the investment be monetized?
bezahl.de is a product of NX Technologies GmbH, which has been designing and developing digital payment solutions for the automotive market since 2015. The previous applications were specified, tested and optimized in cooperation with over 200 car dealers. Bezahl.de is now used and recommended by leading players in the automotive trade. The innovative start-up was able to assert itself as an expert in all aspects of paying large sums and set new standards with its bezahl.de product.
