Sustainable, social, regional: bezahl.de donates laptops to Cologne vocational college

The Georg-Simon-Ohm-Berufskolleg trains technology-savvy apprentices in electrical engineering, information technology and computer science in dual and full-school settings for generations. With a focus on information technology and media, a modern technical standard is crucial for the location: GSO Cologne uses the latest technology to teach key digital skills.

NX Technologies has established itself as a pioneer for innovative technologies in the automotive sector with its payment management platform bezahl.de. Apart from constant product development, the FinTech attaches great importance to community engagement, regional projects in Cologne, and driving forward digitalization in the region. For more than two years, the trainees of the Cologne-based startup have been visiting the Georg-Simon-Ohm-School and have therefore initiated the social project with great interest and commitment.

Thanks to a donation from the payment expert, the trainees will have eight discarded Linux laptops incl. docking station at their disposal from the coming school year. In particular, this type of hardware is necessary for upper school projects, since school computers cannot install programs such as test environments. Consequently, the donation of bezahl.de allows apprentices without laptops to participate in appropriate research projects.
