AUTOLEVY is driving the Digitization of the Industry with bezahl.de

AUTOLEVY GmbH & Co. KG has been established in the Rhineland for 49 years. The family business in the second generation has developed into a modern and future-oriented company over the years. The Toyota and Lexus dealer now employs around 230 people at five locations in North Rhine-Westphalia and sells around 5,400 new and used cars every year. Digitization and permanent growth are important drivers of success - two more AUTOLEVY locations in Neuss and Mönchengladbach are therefore to open in the course of the year.



Manual Administration costs a Lot of time and resources

Ongoing growth also requires increased administrative expenses. Before the introduction of pay.de, this tied up a relatively large number of resources, both in terms of time and capacity. "If customers made payments but did not refer to the invoice or order number in the reason for payment, there were a relatively large number of attempts at coordination between the employees," explains Yvonne Metzen, Head of Sales and Marketing at AUTOLEVY GmbH & Co. KG. It often happened that payments could not be assigned by accounting due to an incorrect purpose, although a customer had already paid. The search for the incoming payment and the reason for the missing assignment began. The salespeople had to ask the accounting department about the receipt of payment and at the same time were in a queue with the customer, which tied up a lot of working time and energy.


Digital process creates Certainty and enormous Time Savings

Thanks to bezahl.de's digital process, many manual and time-consuming activities have become superfluous. At AUTOLEVY, among other things, there is now maximum transparency about every payment status. "Of course, we have a great advantage with the virtual IBAN that every customer receives via their payment invitation, because we can assign a payment directly to the customer and order - regardless of what the customer specifies in the purpose," explains Yvonne Metzen. The employees in the branches also have the option of using the bezahl.de dashboard to check for themselves whether a payment has been received and a customer has settled their claim. There is therefore no longer any need for tedious, repetitive coordination.


Good Cooperation in the Implementation process

A successful process conversion requires good cooperation between the parties involved so that the new processes are introduced and accepted in the long term. AUTOLEVY rates the introductory process of bezahl.de as very successful overall: "We received very good and close support from bezahl.de, i.e. in the onboarding of the employees but of course also in the downstream processes." The educational work of the employees was identified as an important factor. You are asked to explain the customer in the consultation or sales talk about the downstream process and to point out the cooperation with bezahl.de. This interaction has led to the fact that the customers of the car dealership regard the innovative payment process as completely normal and appreciate the flexibility of the digital path. In particular, the possibility of paying bills completely contactless with a selection of different payment methods such as credit card, PayPal or direct payment as well as receiving a proactive payment confirmation is rated as progress by customers. According to Ms. Metzen, the cooperation with the DMS provider Procar Informatik also worked very well, “because Procar was on board from the start and one or the other requirement for our individual processes could be solved relatively quickly in good cooperation with everyone .”


bezahl.de Smartkasse for the Optimal on-site process

Since May 2021, AUTOLEVY has also relied on the digital processes of bezahl.de in the vehicle service. The smartkasse represents a successful addition to the digital process on site for the retail group. It makes it easier for customers to pay on site at the dealership, as they can easily pay themselves at the checkout using the QR code from their payment invitation. Of course, this gives employees the opportunity to use the time they free up for other purposes. "For us, the smartkasse is a further benefit for the customer, allowing the process to be designed more effectively and optimally on site!", confirms Ms. Metzen.

AUTOLEVY draws a positive conclusion from the previous cooperation and would undoubtedly recommend bezahl.de to colleagues from the retail trade. “bezahl.de saves tedious searching and phoning around, since every employee is part of the process and can see what is happening there in real time. In addition, the product drives digitization forward in the individual segments and simply makes life easier,” concludes Yvonne Metzen.
